In working with the internet, imagery has started to play a major role and Pinterest jumped to the fore in 2011, with the site becoming a major player on the internet.

With any Social Media platform, finding the value and leverage and what it can do for you is always the number one priority. Not many users are able to determine why they are using a platform and often utilise the structure purely because everyone else is using it.

If going by the old adage; that time is money, then your ROI (return on investment) for putting your time into any Social Media structure must be justified by the return you get from your involvement in what you are doing. If it gives you pleasure, then that is a return, to simply do something because it is a trend is wasteful and as a user you need to take a step back and analyse what your value is.

Of recent, data has been made available about how Pinterest is an excellent tool to leverage eCommerce.

The Pinterest platform, certainly provides an interest for all users, the days of it being a domain for women only has long gone.
